Deb Henretta is Group President – ASIA, for The Procter & Gamble Company. She is responsible for its $15 billion dollar (in retail sales) business spread across key markets like China, India, Japan, Korea, Australia and the ASEAN countries. Since assuming her role as the Group President in 2007, Deb has been responsible for delivering four consecutive years of record sales and profits, redesign how P&G does business across Asia by creating a One Asia organization, and significantly expanding the Company’s presence in key emerging economies.

Ranked #20 in Fortune Magazine’s list of “Most Powerful Women in Business – International”, Deb is an influential voice in global business. As the Chair of the 21 economy APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) – the first woman ever to be so – she plays a leadership role in shaping policy on business and trade across the Asia Pacific. She is passionate about driving growth in Asia as a region and actively contributes to it as a Board Member of the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB). She regularly speaks at forums such as the World Knowledge Forum (Korea), Women’s Entrepreneurship Summit (Japan) and Ad:tech (Singapore) on subjects such as Innovation, Diversity and Digital.

Deb started as a Marketing Assistant in the US on Bold laundry detergent in 1985, progressing to President, Global Baby Care in 2001 and most recently to Group President, Asia. Deb is credited with turning around Baby Care - today the Company’s biggest - behind the flagship Pampers brand.  She finished her tenure in Baby Care in 2005 with four consecutive years of global growth in net sales, volume and profit – results not seen in nearly two decades.

Deb is an MA in Mass Communications and Advertising, from Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University, USA. She was also awarded an Honorary Doctorate by St. Bonaventure University, USA, for Humane Letters in 2010.

Deb continues to play an important role in the larger business and social community. In addition to a number of global causes she supports (YWCA prevention of violence, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and P&G’s Advancement of Women initiative, among others) Deb is an active volunteer for Caring for Cambodia, where she contributes by building schools for Cambodian children in need. In July, 2010, Deb was awarded the Public Service Medal by the Government of Singapore.

Deb is married to Sean Murray and is mother to son Connor and daughters Caitlin and Shannon.
