Alina Emen joined the National Center for APEC in January 2012 as a Program Assistant. She is Personal Assistant to the President and provides administrative and logistical support to the NCAPEC staff. Prior to this Alina worked for the APEC 2011 USA Host Committee as part of a team responsible for planning the APEC 2011 CEO Summit and related events. Previously she worked at The Huffington Post.com, assisted with the planning of the Pacific Health Summit at the National Bureau of Asian Research, coordinated events at the Anti-Defamation League and supported Community Programs at the World Affairs Council. Alina has also spent time traveling and working abroad and speaks Russian and some Spanish. She has a bachelor’s degree in International Studies from the University of Washington.
