Barbara Hazzard joined the National Center as Projects Manager in August 2010.  Her current responsibilities include coordinating the Center’s policy work and program activities on energy security and food security issues.  Prior to joining the Center Barbara worked as the Program Director of the Washington Council on International Trade and the Program Coordinator of the World Affairs Council.  She has a degree in Political Science from the University of Washington. Barbara is actively engaged in education issues and is the current Board President of the Whittier Elementary Parent Teacher Association.
